The School of Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing (GEII) delivers a 2-year technical degree diploma (The Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie / DUT). Students are selected after a baccalauréat (secondary school diploma) through an interview.
The school delivers a professional degree to a high percentage of graduates who often choose to go on with their studies.
The objective of the educational programme offered by the Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing departments (GEII) in the Instituts Universitaires de Technologie (IUT) is to train students to be expert technicians in two years while allowing them to pursue their studies with a professional bachelor’s degree, an engineering school or a university degree, according to their individual professional project.
The Cuffies-Soissons Campus is located in a beautiful area (Aisne Valley), full of history and with a wide reaching cultural heritage.
It is close to the most famous places in France: - Paris 100km (60miles) - Reims (Champagne Region): 60km (40 miles) - Charles de Gaulle Airport 75km (45miles).
DUT (Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie) GEII
The DUT GEII teaches a wide range of technical skills combined with a good scientific and general knowledge base for students to adapt themselves to every opportunity.
The DUT GEII graduate is capable of analyzing and participating in the conception of systems and equipment using digital, analog and power electronic technology, electrical engineering, automatic operations, industrial data processing and networks. He/she learns in an open environment where he/she must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, through various mediums and in a foreign language.
A 12-week placement, during the second year, enables students to put into practice the theoretical knowledge gained in class while carrying out a personal project.
